Well now, how have we been doing since my last blog post of many years ago? I had a lot to say then and I had a lot of anger about the issues that presented themselves before us at the time. I didn't like how I felt or better yet, I didn't like how the Church and society were melding into one entity and it bothered me tremendously. I had to hang up the keyboard so to speak for the sake of my soul. Here we are about 10 or 15 years in and things in society seem to be a mite different.
How many of us are still practicing our faith? Yeah, it's getting kinda tough n'est-ce-pas? A faith untested is a weak faith. How many of you believe in the real presence hmm? Let's try this. How many voted for the pro-abortion party and still call yourselves Catholic? Yes, shades of Father Altman and Bishop Strickland. How many of you voted for a man that has been installed as President amid more questions about voter integrity and fraud than than Carter's got liver pills and who has officiated at a homosexual "wedding", who through executive orders has expanded abortion opportunities by removing restrictions, allowing tax payer funding for abortion and contraception a party that approves of euthanasia, assisted suicide, transgenderism(gender dysphoria) etc. And the man installed as President is a Catholic to boot.
I'm not really surprised at what is happening in our world today. What does surprise me is how quickly things are happening and not for the better. Almost daily we get up from our sleep only to find another perversion that is being normalized by the left. And we are not allowed to question any of it. Ah, but I do and will question all of it. We were created to discern good from evil, right from wrong and no one will ever tell me I am not allowed to do that.
Those of us that go along and don't want to rock the boat are part of the problem. Those who are silent are part of the problem. Look in all the Catholic churches and there you will find an over abundance of crickets. Long gone are the days when the first bishops came out of the upper room on the first Pentecost and proclaimed the Truth without fear. The only one not there was Judas. Where are those voices today? Where are my shepherds today?
